Hello. My name is Bill Gaines and I am from Bluffton, Ohio which is located about 65 miles south of Toledo, Ohio and 50 miles east of Ft Wayne, Indiana. I am 63 years old and have been retired about 7 years now from Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, Ohio. However, I still keep busy and wonder just how I ever managed to work full time. I have been married to the same wonderful woman (Brenda) for 42 years. We have been blessed with 3 grown children. One lives near us, another lives in Columbus, Ohio and the third lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. We were just blessed with our first grand child on January 4, 2010. Carys Ryann was born at 3:15 PM. What a treasure.

I am an avid CW operator, rag chewer, DX'er and also enjoy contesting. My favorite bands are the low bands. I hold 5BDXCC, 160 DXCC, WAS 160 #100, and WAZ. I am a Life Member of the ARRL. In 2007 I joined FOC.
